“I’m passionate about reimagining the world from the grassroots up.”

Erick Inghatt Matsanza is a purpose-driven changemaker, mentor, and systems thinker working at the frontlines of grassroots transformation in Africa. As the Founder and Chief Catalyst of Spice Without Borders, he leads a bold movement to equip and elevate changemakers from marginalized communities through inclusive leadership, social entrepreneurship, and digital empowerment.

For over a decade, Erick has dedicated his life to nurturing untapped potential at the margins of society. His work centers on transforming mindsets and unlocking opportunity in underserved communities by catalyzing locally-driven solutions to global challenges. He believes true impact begins where most people stop looking—at the grassroots.

Spice Without Borders: A Global Academy Rooted in Local Genius

At the heart of Erick’s work is Spice Without Borders, a social innovation hub and leadership academy that trains grassroots visionaries to become changemakers in their own communities. Through immersive programs, coaching, and storytelling, Spice Without Borders empowers young leaders to imagine, build, and scale solutions for social change.

He also curates SpiceTalks and SpiceTalksX, platforms where emerging changemakers share bold ideas rooted in lived experience—sparking critical conversations and catalyzing action across communities.

Catalyst of Youth Empowerment and Agripreneurship

Erick is the visionary behind the Kilimo Accelerator—a six-month entrepreneurial life skills bootcamp for teens aged 13–17 in Western Kenya. The program equips rural youth with practical skills in agribusiness, climate resilience, and sustainable farming, turning them into future-ready agripreneurs and leaders of change.

Digital Skills Advocate & ICT Innovator

A champion of digital inclusion, Erick is also the Founding Director of Intelsoft Limited, a digital solutions and training firm. His work in ICT has empowered countless young people and entrepreneurs with tech-based tools and knowledge for enterprise growth. He has worked with the Ministry of ICT in Kenya as a Core Business Skills Trainer under the Ajira Digital Program, helping build entrepreneurship capacity nationwide.

Global Mentor and Connector

Erick mentors early-stage entrepreneurs around the world through Bridge for Billions and Mentor Konnect, supporting them in refining their business models and building ventures that serve communities with dignity and impact. He is also the founder of Coffeetage, a networking space for changemakers and creatives to connect, share stories, and build collaborative solutions.
